Sony Noise Cancelling Headphones WH1000XM3 View at Amazon

The sound quality is good, and with the MFi technology, it's easy to dial in a better sound. Even with the included EQ, the WH-1000XM3 is actually very nice to listen to, because the bass is very full and thick. I listened to the IEMs I purchased on Amazon and the WH-1000XM3 is a bit of a step above, just because it's a step above the IEMs. I am able to have the sound of the WH-1000XM3 come from the front and at the same time, have my voice come through the speakers.

You can't get all the good stuff, just the ones that get the job done. I was out of the market for a good pair of headphones for the last few weeks, and finally chose the Sony WH-1000XM3 for the job. First impressions? They were a little noisy, but not a big deal. These were supposed to be a bit larger, but that's about it. The sound was better than I expected, and I didn't even notice the weight of them. I like the fact that the sound is very similar to my new Yamaha GR90, but I was disappointed to hear that Sony has dropped the price by a couple hundred bucks to get the unit under $200. I didn't expect much better sound than a pair of closed back headphones, but apparently that's what they wanted.

Sound quality is not bad for closed, wireless headphones. It certainly can be better, but then you can't get bluetooth and active noise-cancelling. The sound stage is surprisingly wide for closed headphones. These outclass Bose QC 35 II by a noticeable margin. The bass is dynamic and maybe even overwhelming for some, but I prefer it over Bose. Although, Bose QC 35 II wins in sound clarity so if you're into reference sound you might still want to get them over these.

The headphones are very versatile... they are good for listening to music from your phone or computer. I was really surprised at how well they hold up to constant use. They are easy to use and I have no complaints about them. I am very pleased with them and would buy them again.
